Demo Mode

A sandboxed execution environment denominated in non-redeemable play SOL that mirrors live protocol logic.

Purpose

Option payoffs are nonlinear in spot and their value decays with tenor; these properties are more readily internalized through observation than specification. Demo Mode exposes the full protocol state machine to any user, denominated in play SOL, an in-app balance with no monetary value.

Initialization

  1. Open the Oracle app.
  2. Enable Demo Mode. A play SOL balance is credited.
  3. Instantiate or index a token, seed a pool, and open calls and puts as with live SOL.

Simulated Components

  • Premium quotes and early-close values, computed by the same pricing engine as live markets.
  • The pool admission constraint and per-contract concentration limit.
  • Settlement of positions at expiry.

Isolation Guarantees

Play SOL is non-withdrawable, non-transferable, and non-convertible. Demo positions are fully isolated from live pools, and demo outcomes carry no predictive value for outcomes with live collateral.
